Description

Dipropylene glycol methyl ether (DPM) is a medium to slow evaporating solvent. This hydrophilic solvent is completely water-soluble, making it an excellent coupling agent for various solvent systems, ensuring optimal stability and blend consistency.

With a higher flash point than propylene glycol methyl ether, DPM is safer and easier to handle, store, and transport. Its specific evaporation rate allows it to be used in a wider range of applications compared to other similar solvents.

The product is widely used as a coupling agent in water-dilutable coatings and as an active solvent in solvent-borne coatings. It is also essential in household and industrial cleaners, grease and paint removers, metal cleaners, and hard surface cleaners. Furthermore, it serves as a tail solvent in gravure and flexographic printing inks, a mutual solvent in cosmetics, and a stabilizer in agricultural herbicides.
