Description
Triacetin (glycerol triacetate) is a colorless, transparent oily liquid with a slight bitter taste. It is non-toxic and exhibits strong solvating properties, which helps in providing excellent flexibility and toughness to the final products.
Its primary application is as a plasticizer for cellulose diacetate used in cigarette filters. It is also widely used as a fixative for fragrances in perfumes and cosmetics, as well as a lubricant base and a solvent for inks and coatings.
Furthermore, it serves as a substrate for lipase determination and as a stationary phase for gas chromatography. The product is compatible with various industries including pharmaceuticals, dye synthesis, and the food industry according to GB standards.
