The SCT2601 is a highly efficient step-down DC-DC converter designed with a wide input voltage range from 4.5V to 60V. It features an integrated high-side MOSFET with a resistance of 500mΩ, reducing external component requirements and improving overall power density.
Utilizing peak current mode control and Pulse Skipping Modulation (PSM), the SCT2601 achieves an exceptionally low quiescent current of 80uA. This ensures high efficiency during light load or standby conditions, making it ideal for battery-powered or energy-sensitive applications.
The device operates at a fixed switching frequency of 700KHz to minimize the size of external inductors and capacitors. It includes a built-in 6ms soft-start feature to prevent inrush current surges and internal compensation circuitry to simplify the design process.
Comprehensive protection features include cycle-by-cycle current limiting, thermal shutdown, output over-voltage protection, and input under-voltage lockout (UVLO). It is housed in a compact TSOT23-6L package, suitable for industrial automation, automotive accessories, and portable handheld instruments.
