The Amicon® Ultra-0.5 centrifugal filter provides rapid ultrafiltration with a high concentration factor, making it easy to recover concentrates from dilute and complex sample matrices. For instance, IgG with an initial concentration of 1 mg/ml is typically retained at >95%.

The vertical design and available membrane surface area enable fast sample processing, high recovery rates (usually exceeding 90%), and up to 30-fold concentration. The design minimizes solute polarization and membrane fouling, while a physical stop prevents the sample from spinning to dryness.

Featuring an Ultracel® regenerated cellulose membrane with a 100 kDa MWCO, this device is ideal for concentrating biological samples containing antigens, antibodies, enzymes, or nucleic acids, as well as for desalting, buffer exchange, and protein dialysis.
